What's in YOUR Delta-8?
Since the release of MoonSlyme we've had a lot of questions about hemp derived Delta-8 THC: What is it? What does it do? Which kind is the best? Well, we've already touched on the first two so let's spend a little time on the third question. Many people have asked which D8 is the best when it comes to color: amber, clear, or rose/pink. At Klean Kloud LLC we pride ourselves in sourcing only the best materials from the best growers, chemists, and bulk material suppliers. That is most certainly the case when it comes to Delta-8. MoonSlyme is ONLY made with Delta-8 extracted straight from the hemp plant or rose colored distillate. We only trust the experts at Fresh Bros when it comes to isolates and distillates so we figured it was best to allow the experts to explain why rose is best. We want to offer safe and compliant products to our customers and more importantly we want to help educate them about what they are buying. There is far too much false information on the internet regarding Delta-8 THC.

Delta-8 Distillate is made a couple of different ways. Because Delta-8 THC is not present in sufficient concentrations in most hemp cultivars to make its extraction economical, it is produced through a chemical reaction by a catalyst that converts hemp-derived CBD Isolate into Delta-8 THC.
The color variations relate to the pH level and different acid activated media used as bleaching agents used to remove the color from the distillate. This causes the pH level to be acidic, which makes the product unstable. Over time, the distillate will turn pink and even purple. The lack of color in Delta-8 distillate is popular and is desired in the industry. However, if you are going to smoke Delta-8 distillate in a vape cart, keep in mind there is likely some of the bleaching acid still present, which I, personally wouldn’t want to inhale. Who wants to smoke bleach?
Non-bleached Delta-8 distillate will be slightly pink or rose colored, which is the natural color state of the cannabinoid. With the absence of the acid activated media, the difference in the pH level will keep the product stable and will not leave synthetic biproducts that could be harmful if inhaled.
